The NSSF Kampala Hills Run is a fun, non-competitive charity Run organised by NSSF Uganda, in partnership with MTN Uganda, Housing Finance Bank, and Next Media.
It is an initiative through which the Fund mobilises Ugandans to raise funds for the improvement of learning conditions in public primary schools around the country through renovation of school structures, improving sanitation, and enhancement of e-learning. It traverses selected hills of Kampala, covering 21km.
The 2025 NSSF Kampala Hills Run will take place on 12th October 2025, at Kololo Independence Grounds, starting at 6:00 am.

The Fund targets to raise shs2billion from the run, with support from various partners and individuals.
Proceeds from the 2025 Run will go towards supporting 10 public primary schools across the country to undertake school renovations, improve sanitation, and enhance e-learning.
Over the years, proceeds from the NSSF Kampala Hills Run funds have supported the refurbishment of 60 classroom blocks and improved sanitation in 25 primary schools across the country. Over 40,000 students benefit from these interventions every school day.
The benefits have extended beyond improving learning conditions to positively impacting enrollment. The interventions have led to a 12% increase in student enrolment at the beneficiary schools and a 10% reduction in dropouts.
