The Fund owns land in Jinja Municipality located on Plot 2-4 Lubas road that is intended to be developed with a commercial Mixed Use Project. The proposed project is entitled “Jinja City House” – a modern Retail and office complex comprising four (4) no. floors with a total built-up area of approximately 1,500m2. The retail and office space on offer is approximately 1,200m2.
The development was envisioned as a modern building identifying NSSF as a brand, and with parking capacity of up to 40 surface spaces. The critical goal was to incorporate a modern, holistic, integrated facility that will attract maximum tenancy occupation targets.
The design and finishes of the block will be the best In Jinja, and will be environmentally appropriate, with low maintenance cost considerations, and place particular attention, to the flow of human traffic and security. To attract quality tenants, and for optimal ambience, well executed interior finishes are expected for both the interior and exterior landscape. Some of the aspects integrated into the design include the ‘Surface Parking’ concept which is highly encouraged as a security measure.
Estimated completion date is December 2018 with pre-letting of the space already underway. The rent charged will range from $12.5 to $14.5 inclusive of the service fee charge but exclusive of VAT.
