Contributions

The NSSF covers all employers who have 5 or more employees between 16 and 55 years of age, with the exception of employees under the Government Pensions Act. The NSSF Act requires a registered employer is required to pay contributions to the Fund for his\her employees every month during which he/she pays salaries.

The NSSF Act also provides for voluntary membership for employers with less than 5 employees.

Investment

NSSF collects members' contributions and invests them judiciously, and pays commensurate benefits to qualifying members. The money collected is maintained on individual member accounts, invested and earns an annual interest depending on our return on investments.

NSSF's Investment Policy provides for clear guidelines on investments. The Board and Management are mandated by the NSSF Act to invest the money on behalf of the NSSF members. Currently, NSSF has various investment interests in real estate, equities, and fixed income. The benefit for the member is that the member is assured of secure retirement.

Tenders

BID NOTICE UNDER OPEN DOMESTIC BIDDING FOR CCTV CAMERA UPGRADE FOR WORKERS HOUSE, SOCIAL SECURITY HOUSE & CCTV INSTALLATION FOR TORORO, ISHAKA & LUGAZI BRANCHES.

 

1. The National Social Security Fund has allocated funds to be used for the CCTV Camera for Workers House, Social Security House & CCTV Installation for Tororo, Ishaka & Lugazi Branches.

 

2. The Entity invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the provision of the above supplies.

 

 

3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open domestic bidding method contained in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003 and is open to all bidders.

 

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below at 8(a) from 8:00am to 5:00pm from Monday to Friday.  

 

5. The Bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below at 8(b) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX 100,000/= (Uganda Shillings; One Hundred Thousand Only). The method of payment will be by bank to National Social Security Fund account number 0100005004 at CITI Bank Uganda next to Kampala Club & Shanghai Hotel

 

6. 1. The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) has allocated funds to be used for the provision of courier services.

 

2.  NSSF invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the provision of the above services.

 

3.  Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open domestic bidding procedures contained in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003, and is open to all bidders.

 

4.  Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below at 8(a) from 08:00am-05:00pm local time from Monday to Friday except public holidays.  

 

5.  The Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below at 8(a) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX.50,000 (Uganda Shillings Fifty Thousand only). The method of payment will be by Bank to National Social Security Fund Account Number 0100005004 at CITI Bank Uganda. The bidders shall then submit a deposit slip to the NSSF Cashier on 14th Floor Southern Wing, Worker’s House.  The bidder shall be given a receipt on confirmation that funds have been credited into the specified account. The document will be picked by the bidders or their representative (s) from NSSF Procurement and Disposal Unit at the address specified below in 8(a) below.  No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

 

6.  Bids must be delivered to the address below at 8(a) at or before 13th December 2018 at 11:00am local time.  Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who may choose to attend at the address below at 8(b) on 13th December 2018 at 11:30am. All bids must be accompanied with bid security of UGX 3,000,000 in form of bank draft or bank guarantee.
