Contributions

The NSSF covers all employers who have 5 or more employees between 16 and 55 years of age, with the exception of employees under the Government Pensions Act. The NSSF Act requires a registered employer is required to pay contributions to the Fund for his\her employees every month during which he/she pays salaries.

The NSSF Act also provides for voluntary membership for employers with less than 5 employees.

Investment

NSSF collects members' contributions and invests them judiciously, and pays commensurate benefits to qualifying members. The money collected is maintained on individual member accounts, invested and earns an annual interest depending on our return on investments.

NSSF's Investment Policy provides for clear guidelines on investments. The Board and Management are mandated by the NSSF Act to invest the money on behalf of the NSSF members. Currently, NSSF has various investment interests in real estate, equities, and fixed income. The benefit for the member is that the member is assured of secure retirement.

BID NOTICE UNDER OPEN BIDDING  

 

PROCUREMENT OF INFRASTRUCTURE HARDWARE UPGRADE EQUIPMENT - NSSF/SUPLS/2018-2019/00169

 

1.  The NSSF has allocated to be used for the acquisition of Procurement of IT infrastructure Hardware Upgrade

 

2.  The Entity invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the provision of the above supplies.

 

3.  Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open domestic bidding method contained in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003, and is open to all bidders.

 

4.  Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below at 8(a) from 8:00am – 5:00pm.  

 

5.  A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be obtained by interested bidders on submission of a written application to the address in 8(a) below upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX 500,000/=. The method of payment will be by bank to National Social Security Fund account number 0100005004 at CITI Bank Uganda next to Kampala Club and Shanghai Hotel. The documents should be physically collected from the address in No. 8 (a) during working hours

 

6.  Bids must be delivered to the address below at 8(c) at or before 11:00am on 16th January 2019. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of Uganda Shillings; Fifty Million only. Bid securities must be valid until 28th July 2019. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address below at 8(d) at 16th January 2019 at 11:15am

 

7.  There shall be a pre – bid meeting at Procurement and Disposal Unit, Board Room on the dates indicated in the proposed schedule in this notice.

 

8.   (a) Documents may be inspected at:  NSSF Workers House, 13th Floor, Southern Wing, PDU Office.

        

     b) Documents will be issued from:     NSSF Workers House, 13th Floor, Southern Wing, PDU Office.

 

     (c)   Bids must be delivered to:                NSSF Workers House, 13th Floor, Southern Wing, PDU Office.

 

     (d)   Address of bid opening:                     NSSF Workers House, 13th Floor, Southern Wing, PDU Office.

The National Social Security Fund invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the provision of Court Bailiff services

 

1. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open domestic bidding method contained in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003 and is open to all bidders.

 

2. The Bidding document(s) shall be inspected and issued at NSSF Procurement & Disposal Unit, Room 4, 13th Floor Southern Wing, Workers House

 

3. The Bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address above (1) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX 100,000/= (Uganda Shillings; One Hundred Thousand Only). The method of payment will be by bank to National Social Security Fund account number 0100005004 at CITI Bank Uganda next to Kampala Club & Shanghai Hotel
